Welcome to Funxiro

 

Funxiro started with a simple idea. Wherever you travel, you should be able to bring a little piece of that place home with you, something that actually feels genuine and not like it came off a factory shelf in bulk.

 

We are a small team based in Ridderkerk, in the Netherlands, and we have been at this since the beginning of 2023. What started as two friends who loved sharing Dutch culture with visitors and family abroad slowly grew into a proper online store. We spent a lot of time figuring out which items really capture the spirit of the Netherlands, from classic wooden tulips and miniature windmills to Delft blue inspired ceramics and cozy little keepsakes that remind you of a canal side café or a bike ride through the countryside.

 

Everything we offer is chosen with care. We are not interested in filling our shelves with generic souvenirs that could be from anywhere. Each product goes through our own selection process, and we ask ourselves whether it is something we would actually want on our own shelf at home or would be proud to give as a gift.

 

Being based right here in the Netherlands gives us an advantage. We understand what makes Dutch design and culture special, from the colors and patterns to the small details that often get lost when items are mass produced for a global market. That local knowledge shapes every product we add to the store.

 

As we have grown, our focus has stayed the same. We want every order that leaves our warehouse to feel personal, whether it is a gift for someone who visited Amsterdam once and fell in love with it, or a treat for yourself after a trip that went by too fast. We handle every step ourselves, from sourcing to packing, so we can keep an eye on quality along the way.
